Quiksilver Wetsuits
Where Surfing is a Way of Life
Quiksilver began in the late 1960s in Australia by two surfers, Alan Green and John Law. They started off producing water durable boardshorts specifically designed for surfers. Their aim was to produce genuine, original and functional produce for hard-core surfing participants. The idea caught on and soon they had a solid customer base.
By the mid-1970s, Alan and John had partnered with Americans Jeff Hakman and Bob McKnight. They had a small office, warehouse, distribution center in Newport Beach, California. From here they continued to build the
Quiksilver brand based on word of mouth, quality, unbelievable service and their extensive personal contacts at
surf shops on all three coasts of the USA.
Today
Quiksilver is one of the leading
surfwear brands with team riders that include one of the all-time surfing greats - Kelly Slater.
