Find the perfect wetsuit for your child by exploring our collection of kids wetsuits here at Wetsuit Centre, the UK’s largest supplier of childrens wetsuits. With a wide range of leading brands to choose from, such as Xcel, O’Neill, C-Skins, Mystic, Rip Curl, and many more, you’ll no doubt find the right boys wetsuit or girls wetsuit for various ages and sizes.
During the peak summer months when the weather is warmest, we recommend a kids shorty wetsuit, as the short-sleeved arms and legs will allow your child to enjoy the sea with greater mobility whilst still being protected and warm. If your child just wants a quick splash around, our range of kids rash vests protects from harmful UV rays and offers a quick-drying solution - so they can still play in the sea and enjoy the sun!
Our range of wetsuits for kids consists of various thicknesses and sizes. For the colder months from October to April, you’ll need to increase the thickness of your child’s wetsuit, such as a kids 5mm wetsuit. We have a great range of kids winter wetsuits that insulate the body and allow for long-lasting sessions.

When sizing your kid’s wetsuit, it should fit like a second skin. A wetsuit is designed to be a snug fit, as its primary purpose is to keep your child warm by retaining their body heat in various water temperatures. Avoid having large gaps between the skin and the suit to prevent water from flushing through. Check out our guide on how to size your child’s wetsuit based on their age and the season.
We recommend choosing a wetsuit thickness between 4mm and 5mm for children during the winter months, depending on their cold threshold and the water temperature. It’s also good to consider wetsuit accessories for extra insulation, such as kids wetsuit boots.
For warmer water temperatures from May to September, then explore our children’s summer wetsuit range for 2mm to 4mm thicknesses.
We suggest wearing a swimming costume or swim gear under a wetsuit. Children with sensitive skin may still suffer from wetsuit rubs or rashes, especially under the arms and around the joints. We recommend purchasing a rash vest for children to provide a barrier between their skin and the wetsuit’s neoprene material.
