However, you need to be aware that buying a wetsuit that is too big can lead to them becoming cold in the water. This is because the water will sit on the lumbar region and cool down their kidneys, which in turn makes them feel colder. A little bit of wiggle room is fine but check above the bum, and if you can pull a lot of material away from the body, this will not be good for keeping them warm.
